Jim Sloan

Slim, Jim, Mater, Tater, Bob Sloan was born in Indio with a steering wheel in his hands.  He started out drag racing, but the pace was just too fast for him as he grew older.  He moved to racing 3 wheelers on the sand, I'm thankful that they're now off the scene.  Jim gained wisdom upon his marriage to Sue, his beloved co-pilot.  He decided to slow it all down.  In 2003, he bought a cute little X Jeep, brand new, stock as a rock.  It stayed stock for longer than I thought it would, but his wheeling friends (namely, Davey Aguilar) wouldn't let it lie.  In 2004, it became the Jeep you all know now.    Our first event with the club was Forest Fest 2005 and we became members in December of 2005.

Jim and Sue are the Round-Up chairs for the club.  Jim's favorite trails are too numerous to list, but I got him to narrow it down to JB's Revenge and Snakebike in the Parker area and Onyx Summit and Pontiac Loop in Big Bear.

Jim loves to cook for as many people as possible out at club events, which led to co-hosting a couple of events, including the Yucaipa parade decorating breakfast at the Sloan's home (featuring his famous slop burritos) and Third of July Fireworks party at Morongo, hopefully to be held again soon.
