Dedicated to Responsible Family Oriented 4x4 Fun
About Inland Empire 4 Wheelrs
IE4W is a family oriented 4 Wheel Drive club, formed for the enjoyment and preservation of 4 wheeling. IE4W is a non-profit organization and was formed in 1964 IE4W welcomes all enthusiasts and we promote a safe, friendly 4 wheel drive recreation among others who share the common interest.
We consist primarily of short wheel based vehicles. As a group we go on many adventures from mild to extreme runs. We have runs that take us to the Big Bear Mountains or deserts of Barstow and the Salton Sea. We also organize trips to the Rubicon in Lake Tahoe, Moab UT, Parker Arizona and other off-road areas in the Western United States.
As a Club we enjoy social gatherings as well, from camping/wheeling trips, parades and holiday events.
We are a pro-active club and sponsor the “Big Bear Forest Fest” each year in June to raise awareness for our National Forest and raise money to keep our access to these public lands open for recreation. We also sponsor and maintain several Adopt - A - Trails in San Bernardino National Forest.

BIG BEAR FOREST FEST
What is Forest Fest?
Big Bear Forest Fest is an event put on by the Inland Empire 4 Wheelrs (IE4W). This is a 3 day event with trail runs, camping and other activities.
Big Bear is a lively little area situated about 7,000 feet above sea level in the San Bernardino Mountains. Every year in June, IE4W host Big Bear Forest Fest, during which hundreds of 4x4 enthusiast gather to see old friends, meet new ones, check out a huge vendor show of the latest off-road gear and head out for adventure on some of the best off road trails in the Southern California.
IE4W members lead trails on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Saturday features a vendor show and a BBQ Tri-Tip dinner. IE4W and event sponsors support one of the largest raffles in Southern California, last year it featured over $50,000 in prizes. Forest Fest is a non-profit event and this event allows IE4W to raise funds that are used to donate to land use organizations that help keep our trails open and free. IE4W also use the funds to donate to local charities and the club has created two college scholarships. In a nutshell, our trails are in constant threat of closure and IE4W wants to fight to keep them open.
The scheduled trail runs are classified into three groups: Easy (anyone can finish these), Moderate (these trails will be a challenge, modified vehicles advised), and Difficult (modified vehicles with experienced drivers Only). The trails included easy runs such as the Historical Run and Big Bear Spooky Night Run, moderate runs like Gold Mountain and Onyx Summit, and difficult trails such as John Bull and Dishpan Springs. The great thing about the Big Bear Forest Fest is that it’s perfect for first-timers and old-timers. There’s
something for everyone, novice or expert, and everyone is friendly and willing to share tips, tricks, and advice. We hope see you there.
